This is a multi-layered portrait of Walt Disney. The background is comprised of many cut out images of Disney's famous cartoon characters. Each image was cut out and pasted together by hand to form a colourful and complex collage in the shape of a heart, showing the love the cartoon characters have for their creator. The actual portrait of Disney was created on fine quality cartridge paper using 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7 technical pencils for the initial drawing, then one royal blue colour pencil, to render all the tone and detail in the face and hair. Once the portrait and complex background collage was completed, it was then attached to the surface of a mirror, as an homage to the “mirror, mirror on the wall", part of the 'Sleeping Beauty" story,
